The door is made from heavy-duty 11 gauge steel construction and the body is heavy-duty 14 gauge steel construction for durable, reliable protection. Mounting hardware and four AA batteries are included. It is very heavily built. I got this one over the GE because I like the idea of two heavy duty locking pins holding the door shut instead of the weaker rotating "catch" that the GE keysafes use. Also, it is made out of heavier gauge steel. The code is easy to set up and I especially like that it includes an emergency key to open it up if there is a problem with the keypad. It has a low battery indicator light so you know when to change the batteries. Plus, the instructions say that you can open it like 100 more times after the battery indicator light comes on. So, it gives you plenty of notice. The key storage is great and it comes with about 50 (I didn't take the time to count) of the little plastic key labelers that you write in the clear window what key it is. The door has very little gap and is recessed, so prying it open with a crowbar is not going to be possible. The metal is about 1/8" thick and is not going to bend without some... I ordered my first safe in 2010. Safe arrived very damaged. Amazon replaced...arrived damaged again. Amazon replaced a second time...this was OK. 2. Installing the safe: awful hardware. Go out and buy your own mounting screws and/or drywall buttons. 3. Appearance: your safe will arrived damaged, somehow. This is a fact - I have ordered from multiple vendors - they all arrived damaged somehow. The packaging is terrible. Over the past 2 years, I ordered 3 more safes - and all have odd flaws (back is buckled, paint is chipped, cracks, weird caulking in the rear of one..). 3. Workmanship: terrible. The CAD engineer behind this was very good (expect the screw to the handle is half-hidden behind the battery door), however the China supplier sucks. Really, seriously, they just spray paint this stuff (or a lousy powder coat). Loose plastic (however the key panel has not failed yet). 4...
